[SMM National Antimony Ingot Production in January] According to SMM assessments, China's antimony ingot production (including antimony ingots, crude antimony converted, antimony cathode, etc.) in January 2025 decreased by 17.06% MoM compared to the statistics of December 2024.

According to SMM's assessment, China's antimony ingot production (including antimony ingots, crude antimony converted, and antimony cathodes) in January 2025 decreased by 17.06% MoM compared to December 2024. Specifically, among the 33 surveyed producers currently assessed by SMM, 13 producers suspended production, an increase of 3 compared to the previous month; 17 producers reduced production, a decrease of 2 compared to the previous month; and 3 producers maintained normal production, a decrease of 1 compared to the previous month. Regarding antimony ingot production, January's production declined again after consecutive rebounds in December 2024. Many market participants consider this a normal phenomenon, as the Chinese New Year falls earlier this year, and many producers began maintenance or temporarily suspended production in the second half of January. However, as domestic raw material supply remains relatively sufficient, many producers indicated that post-Chinese New Year production would not be significantly affected. Market participants predict that due to the long Chinese New Year holiday in February, China's antimony ingot production in February 2025 is unlikely to increase significantly compared to January, with a higher likelihood of remaining flat or slightly declining.

Note: Since May 2022, SMM has been publishing assessed production data for China's antimony ingots (including antimony ingots, crude antimony converted, and antimony cathodes). Thanks to SMM's high coverage rate in the antimony industry, SMM's survey covers 33 antimony ingot producers across 8 provinces in China, with a total sample capacity exceeding 20,000 mt and a capacity coverage rate of over 99%.
